Day-to-day duties

• MIG/MAG, TIG, stick welding to standard
• Cut, form and fit steel plate
• Read isometrics and weld maps
• Grinding, gouging, PWHT

Requirements

• Cert III Engineering (Fabrication Trade)
• Weld tickets (3G, 4G, 6G as required)
• Confined Space
• Working at Heights
• Standard 11

Training pathway

• 4-year apprenticeship
• Ongoing weld qualifications
